APPROVAL OF THE UPDATED STUDENT EXCHANGE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE SCHOOL BOARD OF CHARLOTTE COUNTY, FLORIDA AND THE SCHOOL BOARD OF SARASOTA COUNTY, FLORIDA
Description
On May 25, 1999 the School Board of Sarasota County entered into a Student Exchange Agreement with the School Board of Charlotte County. That agreement acknowledged the geographic overlap of the attendance areas for Englewood Elementary School, L.A. Ainger Middle School, and Lemon Bay High School and empowered the Boards to set attendance zones that reach across county lines. This agreement also stipulates that the District in which students reside will be responsible for providing transportation to their districted school. This action simply updates the existing agreement without any significant changes.
Recommendation
That the updated Student Exchange Agreement between the School Board of Charlotte County, Florida and the School Board of Sarasota County, Florida be approved as presented.
